Brent toured with Mike until the last tour, Deke said he would be fired if Brent went on the last tour. Brent also recorded on the second solo walbum. So, not really atwist of fate, Mike always liked Brent. They called him to audition for the band last August, but for some reason hired Matt before the audition happened. The rest is history I guess.

Brent left the Eccofonics about 4 years ago. Just went to Deke's Sunday for a BBQ and saw Deke's old band the Dave and Deke Combo reunited with the original lineup even. Was pretty darn cool. Seeing that band 12 years ago is what made Brent learn the stand up in the first place. One of those life changing experiences.

I try to keep up with my husband's comings and goings, it's a tough job, but somebody has to do it.

Thats a cool story about the Dave and Deke combo being an inspiration.

Geek Girl ... what are the chances of Brent picking up the upright again for Social D? Or even on the mysterious never-gonna-happen follow up to Under The Influences Volume One? I understand he's got another band too ... does he play upright for them or standard bass?

My apologies for playing 20 questions, but when curiosity hits I gotta get it all out before another cat dies in vain.

<font size="2" face="verdana, arial">No worries. Hey, you never know what'll happen. He was going to play the upright at the KROQ Accoustic Christmas, because Mike wanted to play accoustic, but their Mgr. said no, that no one plays accoustic and they should just play all the hits as usual. Mike still plans on doing another solo album.

Brent plays in a ton of local bands, his main one is called Whiskey Chimp, they're playing tonight actually. Super fun band. Imagine bluegrass meets punk. They have a website at

    Whiskey Chimp

    Enjoy
